Josue Girón, also known as El Rancherito de Oro, is a 5 year old popular ranchero singer in Massachusetts and Guatemala.  On August 8th, 2012 at 6:00 Am “La Migra” broke into their house and took his uncle, scaring the whole family, including the 5 year old Josue, who had to witness ICE traumatically taking his uncle away.

Josue’s entire family lives in the United States.  They are all devastated by the potential deportation of his favorite uncle who was stopped several times for driving without a license.  If deported, his uncle will leave behind a 5 year old boy.  Annie Girón, Josue’s mother, wants to demand justice.  “We were highly mistreated in all of my brother’s detention process.  It is unfair to have so many children struggling and living without their parents.  I want my brother to stay here.  We have no family left in Guatemala and he doesn’t have anywhere to go over there.  My parents cry every day and our family is devastated.  We don’t want to suffer any longer and we don’t want families and children to go through what we are facing. “

Josue, as the leader of a mariachi band, has been sharing the devastation of the parathion from his favorite uncle through his music.  He has recently written a song about his uncle.
